Morgan Hill sits at the southern tip of Silicon Valley as the location of several high-tech companies. Primarily affluent residents often work within the tech industry and enjoy Morgan Hill’s eminent dining, entertainment, and recreational opportunities. It is home to Michelin-star chefs, luxurious hospitality, wineries, nature parks, and many community events.

Morgan Hill is situated between San Jose and Gilroy in the southernmost section of the Santa Clara Valley, between the eastern Diablo Range and western Santa Cruz Mountains. It combines agricultural roots with modern Silicon Valley investments. It is part of the Santa Clara Valley American Viticultural Area, and houses multiple technology companies, start-ups, and research and development firms.

The city is served by the Morgan Hill Unified School District and numerous private schools, both religious-based and nonsectarian. It has convenient public transportation to educational and career opportunities in the denser areas of Santa Clara County.

Parks + Trails

Nob Hill Trail Park

Try this 3.9-mile out-and-back trail near Saratoga, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 41 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Morgan Hill Community Park

The City of Morgan Hill has a variety of parks and open space areas available to the public to use as well as facilities that can be rented for sports activities, BBQ, and special events. All Morgan Hill park facilities, including the Dog Park, are open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. The Skate Park hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday-Saturday) and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.

Coyote Creek Trail

The Coyote Creek Trail is one of the longest trail systems extending from the Bay to the City's southern boundary. At this time, you can access a northern portion of the trail system from Highway 237 Bikeway to Montague Expressway. A short downtown portion travels through Selma Olinder Park. The southern portion begins at Tully Road and extends southward through county jurisdiction and reaches Morgan Hill.
